Port Macquarie Urban Mountain Bike Park
Vincent and Greg of Dunghutti Sport and Recreation help install racks for the club bikes in the club storage container at the WRPWorks are continuing at the Port Macquarie Urban Mountain Bike Park (Wayne Richards Park "WRP", Koala St).

Over 5km of our first legally-built single trail has now been constructed. More works are planned to improve drainage and site revegetation.

Grant funding has been received from NSW Communities, Essential Energy and Ground Effect Clothing. The support from Port Macquarie Hastings Council staff has been significant in achieving this project. Thanks to local neighbours for supporting the project. Further in-kind support has come from Boral Timbers, Francis Furniture, Dorvik Steel, Port Macquarie Landcare, Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and North Coast Marble and Granite.

Volunteer works on site have come from Conservation Volunteers' National Green Jobs Corps teams. CV has also supported the project by including St Columba Anglican School, MTB Team Dunghutti, Camden Haven High School, Port Macquarie High School, Heritage Christian School, and Wauchope High School through the "Young Wild Connections" program and by engaging the International Mountain Biking Association.

Club members have contributed to design and works on site. Thanks to Lloyd from Gordon Street Cycles for teaming up with Scott Pomroy on the pump track. The soon-to-be-opened "Buckle Up" section is the handiwork of club members Jason Dragos and Pat Galbraith Robertson.

Thanks to the professionalism of the many contractors and suppliers involved in the project including Ground FX Landscaping's Steve Hurrell, Trademark Home Hardware, Barrier Signs, Port Container Services, Hot Chili Graphics and Digital Signs.

The proof's in the riding. If you haven't already, join the many who have enjoyed the trails. They are free and open to the public. The WRP Shorty Series includes racing for all abilities. Schools using the venue for school sport have included Heritage Christian School, Port Macquarie High School and St Paul's High School.
